Happy Thanksgiving!!!  I am sooooo late writing this.  With holiday baking, checking out the massive amount of sales out there, and the normal day to day I have been super busy.  I'm doing a quick recap of my shopping last week.  It helps me keep track, and also appreciate the time I spend clipping coupons, hunting for deals, and lately becoming a slave to the computer.  Not the last part, it's fun and completely worth it!

Last week was all about adding to my pantry.  I really didn't need much else.  The upcoming review will be a little heftier to be sure! I'm finding, it does take a bit of time to learn all the money saving tricks, as well as to build a decent stockpile.  I'm happy to be getting into the groove with all this couponing and deal seeking.  It's fun to share with all who stumble upon my blog.  I was in a rut at the begining of the week, but I think I've dug my way out.  Thanks for all who have left me comments this week.

Black Friday Deals

I have mentioned before that  I am not a Black Friday Shopper.  I really can't stand the long lines, irritated shoppers and frustrated cashiers.  To me it's madness.  I know there are some great deals, but I also know there are a lot of gimmicks just to get us into the stores.  I haven't spent much time investigating where the deals are, except Wags, because it's close to my home and I am doubtful it will be a mad house like other retailers.  That being said, I wanted to share some links to other bloggers who have graciously spent time searching out deals, because I know a lot of people do the bulk of their shopping on Black Friday and love it!

I would start HERE.  Golden, from Golden's Bargain Blog has written a great post on how to survive Black Friday.  It sounds like she is a pro!

Couponing to Disney has an extensive list of Black Friday deals for Walmart here, Toys R Us here, and almost every other major store here.  I don't know how she does it!!!

Rite Aid Beauty Coupon

I haven't mentioned anything about Rite Aid this week because when I scanned the ad, the deals didn't look too great.  But, Rite Aid is offering a nice coupon that one could use to get a cheap stocking stuffer. The catch is that it is one per customer.  If you are planning to do some other shopping at Rite Aid though, take advantage of this one.   And don't forget all your purchases can go to the Gift of Savings of Program through December 21st. You can print this $2 off any $2 or more beauty purchase coupon here, as well as a $3 off $15 purchase coupon.

Blogger Blues

Blogger Blues, is there such a diagnosis?  And is it possible this early in the game?  I started blogging a little over a month ago, and all of the sudden I am starting to feel a lot of self doubt.  Is my information good?  Is my blog cute enough?  Am I good enough?  And, where is all of this coming from?  It's easy to get discouraged when there are so many blogs out there filled with great information.  I'm fairly new at the whole couponing and deal thing, so maybe I don't have enough to share?

Another problem is that I've been looking at quite a few blogs recently and am realizing that mine is kind of boring.  I would love to pay someone to "cuten" mine up, but it's hard for me to justify spending money to have someone design my blog when I am all about saving money!  (I did enter a giveaway for a blog makeover and my chances of winning are definitely better than being struck by lightning!)

I guess the bottom line is, am I having fun blogging and is it really helping anyone?  I do love finding great deals and sharing them.  I'm also learning a lot along the way.  I guess it's time for me to stop comparing myself to others and just enjoy what I'm doing.  I also need to realize that time takes time!   What's that old saying about Rome not being built in a day?  I just started this in October!

Can anyone relate?  Comments are one of the things that keep me going!
